Edsel by Jean L Hays via Friday Fictioneers

Agent Cooper sat cross-legged on top of a picnic table at Famous Freddy’s Fabulous Fries and tried to write a haiku.  Tried.  A fly kept landing on his paper.

If I write about you will you go away?

“Sir Fly
quietly washing his wings –
no advice”

He sat in moody silence, thinking of flies and yellow cars, and jumped when his partner sneaked up behind him.

“Dammit, Freeg!”

Fregón wasn’t fazed. “D’ya see that car last night?  Yellow Edsel.  Driver looked like Roy Orbison.  I shit you not.  Drove right past your house!”

Cooper’s stomach sank.

He drove all night.

Linked to Friday Fictioneers, where our task was to write a 100 word story based on Jean L. Hays’ photo of an Edsel.  Well, a pseudo-Edsel.
